SYNEX FDSS & FAPS - Introduction
To address these risks in Engine and Occupant area, we have designed and developed an advanced Fire Detection and Suppression System tailored specifically for buses. This system incorporates highly sensitive and robust fire detectors, capable of identifying fire hazards in their early stages. Additionally, the suppression system is environmentally friendly, ensuring both the safety of passengers and the preservation of the vehicle. Our System offers a reliable and effective solution to mitigate the destructive potential of fire in passenger vehicles.
Fire Detection Alarm and Suppression System automatically trigger fire extinguishing system capable of extinguishing fire in engine/battery compartments of vehicles. Also, passenger compartment is to be protected with Water Mist Technology System as safe evacuation method for passenger using Multi Sensor detection system.
Which is integrated with common control panel to be used on Dashboard.
Basic Features

- Components like Water Tanks of Different Capacities, N2 Cylinders, Pressure Regulator, Solenoid Valve, Smoke Detectors (Occupant Area)
- Calculate the volume of the passenger compartment in cubic meters. The appropriate FAPS should be selected based on this measured volume.
- To determine the cubic volume, measure the complete passenger compartment’s length, height, and width, and multiply these dimensions (in meters) to obtain the volume in cubic meters. Refer to section 4.5.5 of the AIS 135 standard for guidance.
- Use the AIS 135 standard to determine the required system capacity for both the Passenger Compartment (FAPS) and the Engine Compartment (FDSS).
1. Control Panel - 3 Zone Conventional 12/24V DC
The Fire Alarm Panel is installed in the driver's cabin and features connections for the following components:
- Hooter
- Linear Heat Detection Cable
- Solenoid Valves
- Power Supply (12 VDC & 24VDC)
- Manual Emergency Push Buttons
- This Control Panel incorporates resistance monitoring components for effective fire detection and the operation of the extinguishing system.
- Smoke Detectors
The Following Signals / Controls are present:

2. Linear Heat Sensing (Detection) Cable: 138°C & 187°C
Our LHS Cables provide reliable, early fire detection for enhanced safety. With two specialized types, the 138°C cable for pre-alarm notifications and the 187°C cable for automatic detection and suppression, we ensure comprehensive protection for every application.
Features: UL Listed, Durable with Two-core, trimetallic conductor.
Both LHS cables are engineered to ensure timely detection, protection, and peace of mind, making them an ideal choice for modern fire safety solutions in passenger buses.
3. Hooter / Siren - Audio - Visual Strobe Siren 12/24V DC
Fire Strobe Siren
Fire Strobe Siren combines powerful sound and visual alerts to ensure effective emergency communication. Ideal for noisy environments and for those with hearing impairments, it delivers reliable alerts when it matters most.
4. Optical / Heat Multisensor Detector
The Orbis Optical/Heat Multisensor Detector (model ORB-OH- 13003-APO) detects fast-burning fires using combined smoke and heat sensors. It operates on a 2-wire system with 8.5V-33V range and features quick testing, maintenance alerts and fault detection. It meets international standards like CPR and LPCB, functions in temperatures from -40°C to +70°C, and has an IP44 rating. The housing is flame-retardant polycarbonate.
